General:

  • I have homes in Lakeville, Michigan and Marana, Arizona
  • I am concentrating my relief practice in Tucson and the Metro Detroit area
  • I will consider relief work in other areas of AZ and MI, as well as CA, VT, and TX, but there would be travel fees as listed below.

Fees:

  • 60.00 per hour up to eight hours per day on weekdays and $65.00 on Saturdays
  • 80.00 per hour for any hours over eight per day on weekdays and $90.00 on Saturdays
  • Maximum one-hour deduction for the mid-day break
  • Minimum fee of $300.00 per day on weekdays and $350.00 on Saturdays
  • When traveling outside my two home areas,  a daily fee of $100 for every day (working or not) to cover lodging, meals, transportation, etc. will apply.

Policies:

  • My practice expertise is limited to dogs and cats. I will see ferrets, rabbits, and small rodents for routine care.
  • I do not see birds, reptiles, or pot-bellied pigs at all
  • I have no training in or ablity to use ultrasound or endoscopes and limited experience with laser.
  • Payment is due upon receipt of my statement
  • Any changes or cancellations must be made at least 60 days in advance to avoid a cancellation charge of $100 per day booked , unless I can find a replacement relief job

 

I am an experienced relief veterinarian and am used dealing with a variety of practice situations. There is no need to adjust your client or surgery load while I am working, providing there is adequate technical staff and expertise to provide support for high density scheduling.

I will provide a practice profile to be filled out and returned before accepting a relief position at a practice where I have never worked.

For your tax and record keeping purposes, please note that I am an independent contractor. I carry my own health, liability, and disability insurance. I will provide a workers compensation waiver if desired.  If I earn more than $600 in any year while working for you, you will need to file a 1099 form with the IRS.

While I am happy to consider last-minute requests for work, my schedule frequently fills well in advance.
